PLANO (1080 KRLD)- The Plano ISD school board has voted to form an Advisory Committee to study the problem of declining enrollment.
The committee will consider closing some schools as one solution to the problem, but there are no plans right now to close any schools.
Plano, long-considered a ‘destination district’ has been dealing with an enrollment decline for 10 years, and that is expected to continue.
The board says declining enrollment is a problem faced by several other North Texas districts.
