A Richardson man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter - accused of running a red light in Plano and hitting another car - killing the driver.
Plano police say it happened at the intersection of Jupiter Rd and East Plano Parkway just before 10 on Sunday morning. Witnesses told police 34-year-old Angel Velasco was driving north on Jupiter Road when he ran the light and struck the car driven by 39-year-old Marcus Jarod Gerald of Mullins, South Carolina. Mullins died from his injuries.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
