Plano school district launching new program to help kids get a head-start on college

The Plano school district in launching a new program to help kids get a head-start on college.

They're calling it the Wildcat Collegiate Academy. Plano ISD students will be able to start at Vines High School and continue at Plano High School to take classes that give them credit at Collin College.

Students who go all the way through the program will be able to graduate high with a high school diploma and an associate's degree at the same time.

The Plano ISD is holding an open house to provide information about the program later this week. The collegiate academy will start in the fall of 2024.
