President Donald Trump took to Truth Social after Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson talked about the financial opportunities for Dallas.
Johnson has been making a push for more firms to leave New York for North Texas and repeated his comments during an interview over the weekend on Fox Business.
"Building a 'New York Stock Exchange' in Dallas is an UNBELIEVABLY BAD THING FOR NEW YORK," President Trump said on Truth Social. "I can't believe they would let this happen. A big test for the new Mayor!"
The president was referring to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The New York Stock Exchange opened a Texas branch in Dallas last year.
The Texas Stock Exchange, which is separate, opens this year in Dallas.
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson has been heavily highlighting the growing financial footprint of Dallas and openly embracing the new term, 'Y'all Street.'
