Residents of apartment building that exploded lose more after looters take belongings

Two weeks ago, a gas explosion at the Highland Hills Apartment complex in Southeast Oak Cliff, displaced about 250 residents.

Many of them have been staying at hotels since the explosion happened, and on Wednesday, several of their units got broken in and valuables stolen.

Several residents, had TVs, gaming systems and even furniture stolen.

At least six units were reportedly broken into.

Dallas police say one person has been arrested.

Residents said there was supposed to be a security guard at the property.​
