
One North Texas school district has closed schools today and tomorrow because of the uptick in new COVID-19 cases.

The Rio Vista school district in Johnson County announced last night all schools in the dsitrict will be closed today and tomorrow.
According to the school website, 22 percent of staff members have confirmed COVID cases and there are not enough substitutes available to cover the teachers who will be out.
The district says it will continue cleaning buidlings and classrooms, hoping to reopen schools Wednesday.
Meanwhile a drive thru testing site will open tomorrow at the middle school, it will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. tomorrow.
