Roanoke children killed over weekend were students at Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth

A Fort Worth private school has confirmed two of its students were the children killed in Roanoke over the weekend.

Trinity Valley School sent out emails to the school community yesterday. Head of School Blair Lowry writes: "it is difficult to find the words to express the sorrow we all feel for the loss of our young students."

The two girls were 7-year-old Sonakshi Chauhan and 11-year-old Shivraj Chauhan who died Saturday night.

Police reports say a man with the same last name was driving a backhoe, carrying the girls in the bucket, on the driveway of the family's home on Chapel Hill Court in Roanoke.

For reasons still not clear, the girls tumbled out and were run over by the backhoe, killing them at the scene.

Two other children and an adult apparently also fell out and were taken to the hospital.

The driver of the backhoe was arrested on suspicion of two counts of manslaughter, three counts of endangering a child and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
