Despite the cold weather, crews near Sherman are continuing the search for 8-year-old Clara Robinson, who disappeared on Christmas Eve when her family’s car was swept into a flooded creek.

Texas EquuSearch says they will use foot searchers, excavators, drones, K9s, kayaks with sonar, helicopters and ATVs to continue their efforts to find Clara. Clara's been missing since her family's car was swept away in high water in Sherman, an hour north of Dallas.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Christmas Eve, Sherman police said. The family's car hydroplaned into Post Oak Creek off U.S. Highway 75. First responders couldn't reach the car until it had already traveled some distance down the creek.

Four people were rescued, but the 8-year-old and her father went missing. The father's body was later recovered, but the search continues for the girl.

Sherman police said the community has kept them supplied with water, snacks and everything they need to keep up their search efforts and all they ask now is for prayers.
