The second of two women accused of the November 2019 murder of an elderly Plano couple has confessed.

31-year-old Cynthia Wingate has pleaded guilty to a reduced murder charge in the deaths of Jimmy Mike Farris and Theresa Coomes - both of whom were killed in their Plano apartment. She was sentenced to 35 years in prison, although she could have gotten life without parole if she had been convicted of the original capital murder charge.

Wingate and Carmen Moreno robbed and stabbed the two who were in their 70s. They fled in Coomes and Farris' cars and were arrested in McLennan County. Moreno pleaded guilty several weeks ago. She got a life sentence.
