Six Flags Over Texas is reminding families this week that guests 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult chaperone during Spring Break — and those who don't comply can be removed from the park.
Under the park's chaperone policy, all guests 15 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted into Six Flags Over Texas and to remain in the park during designated times. The policy is in effect daily beginning at 6 p.m. local time, though Six Flags reserves the right to implement it earlier on any given day.
Chaperones must present a valid government-issued photo ID with their date of birth upon entry to the park. One chaperone may accompany no more than ten guests aged 15 or younger. Chaperones are also required to remain on park property for the duration of their group's visit and must be reachable by phone at all times, ready to respond if park staff requests assistance.
Guests 15 and under who are found in the park without a chaperone while the policy is in effect will be subject to immediate removal. Chaperones who fail to fulfill their responsibilities — such as leaving the park or becoming unreachable by phone — may also result in the removal of their entire group.
Six Flags Over Texas said it will enforce its chaperone policy through March 22 to ensure a safe, family-friendly environment. "Guests who fail to comply with this policy may be subject to removal from the park and any applicable actions permitted under law," the park said.
The policy is not entirely new. A chaperone policy was first put in place at Six Flags Over Texas during Fright Fest, and the park formally reinstated the requirement in spring 2025 ahead of the summer season. The Spring Break enforcement period represents the park's continued commitment to applying the policy during its highest-attendance windows of the year.
Six Flags Over Texas has joined a growing list of theme parks implementing formal chaperone policies, marking a broader industry shift toward structured, enforceable safety requirements.
The park is located at 2201 Road to Six Flags in Arlington, between Dallas and Fort Worth. Spring Break runs through this weekend for most North Texas school districts.
Families planning a visit are encouraged to review the full policy on the Six Flags Over Texas website before arriving, as rules are subject to change.
