Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced Tuesday that it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Arlington, Texas, with the move expected to be completed by March 2027.
According to a company statement released through PR Newswire, the Arlington offices at Choctaw Stadium will become the primary hub for corporate leadership and shared business functions. Choctaw Stadium has housed a portion of the company’s corporate workforce since 2020.
The decision returns the company’s main headquarters to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where Six Flags Over Texas opened in 1961 as the original park that launched the brand. President and CEO John Reilly said in the announcement that Arlington’s central location and business environment support the company’s long-term growth plans.

“Arlington is an outstanding location for our headquarters and supports our long-term vision for growth,” Reilly said. “Bringing our corporate teams together in the office will improve collaboration, strengthen our culture, enhance support for our parks and resorts, and help us continue delivering exceptional experiences for guests across North America.”
Six Flags operates 34 amusement and water parks and nine resorts across North America. The company noted that the Arlington location places leadership closer to its five Texas parks and within a major entertainment and tourism district. The firm will continue to maintain an office in Sandusky, Ohio, and invest in other regions.
The relocation follows the 2024 merger that combined Six Flags with Cedar Fair and initially placed the corporate headquarters in Charlotte. No job losses or specific employment numbers related to the move were detailed in the announcement. No injuries or other incidents are associated with the decision.
The company expressed gratitude to the City of Arlington and local leaders for their partnership.
