Small plane crashes south of Dallas Executive Airport

On Thursday afternoon, a small plane crashed into a wooded area south of Dallas Executive Airport.

According to NBCDFW, at just after 2:30 p.m. the single-engine plane came down near Pastor Bailey Drive and Red Bird Lane.

The cause of the crash is not currently known.

Dallas Fire-Rescue have said that the pilot is conscious and alert, and has been taken to hospital. No other passengers were on board and no further details surrounding the pilots condition have been made public.

They also said that neither the plane's fuel bladder, nor any surrounding structures were damaged.
