Some North Texas voters will be deciding on who will be their new state representative today after the last one was tossed out of office.
Royce City Republican Bryan Slaton was expelled from office back in May following an investigation by a House ethics panel.
Slaton was accused of providing a 19-year-old staffer with alcohol then having sex with her. He resigned but the House still voted 147-0 to expel him.

He's the first Texas House member to be expelled in nearly a century. At the time, Slaton was described as one of the most conservative members of the Texas House.
Today six candidates are running for the seat including five Republicans and one Democrat.
The winner of today's vote will complete his two-year term which ends in January of 2025.
