A Southwest Airlines flight en route to Dallas Love Field was unexpectedly diverted to DFW Airport on Monday night due to a potential issue with the aircraft's anti-skid brake system.

The flight, which had departed from Columbus' John Glenn International Airport, required a longer runway for a safe landing, prompting the diversion to DFW.

The plane landed safely at approximately 6 p.m., and no injuries were reported among passengers or crew.

Southwest Airlines issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to safety and thanked both DFW Airport and American Airlines for their assistance in accommodating passengers on an alternate aircraft to complete their journey to Love Field.

The incident is under review, and the airline expressed gratitude for the patience of its customers during the disruption.
