FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD)- Fort Worth police say the homeowner who opened fire on police, code compliance, and workers mowing his lawn this morning, is now in custody.
This puts an end to an almost an hour long standoff.
Police and code compliance workers showed up at the house on Cedar Springs Drive this morning because of a high grass violation. When they got no response - the mowing company started to cut the grass.
A few minutes later - someone inside the house started shooting at the mowers, police, and code compliance.
When the officers were taking cover - the suspect fired towards them again. Nobody was reported injured and SWAT was on the scene.
No other details have been released at this time.
