When clouds threaten to ruin a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle, call in the storm chasers.
Tempest Tours Storm Chasing Expeditions is hosting a special total eclipse tour on Monday.
They will travel from their base in Arlington to clear skies along the path of totality, so that people can enjoy an obstructed view of the eclipse.
Tempest Tours has prior experience in this arena.
"We do have a meteorologist as our tour director," Guest Relations Manager Kim George said. "And he got us to clear weather when we had that eclipse a while back (on August 21, 2017). It was going mainly through Nebraska."
Tempest Tours will be posting where people have the best chance at an unobstructed view of the eclipse on its Facebook page.
"We let people know that want to know from us where we're going to be and how we're going to get there and all that kind of stuff, especially with as many people that are going to be coming into this area this weekend," George said. "We will make a firm decision by about Sunday mid-afternoon."
George says she's hoping for a change in the forecast between now and Monday.
"We are just hoping that things kind of change a little bit and we're going to stay more put," says Geporge, "because traveling is going to be very dicey."
