A Tarrant County deputy died on Sunday after suffering a medical emergency while on the job.
Deputy Billy Scheets was responding to a call in North Tarrant County at around 5 p.m. when he passed out. A second deputy on the scene with him started CPR and Scheets was transported to the hospital.
Members of law enforcement agencies across North Texas gathered at the hospital for hours before a long line of police vehicles formed a procession to escort the deputy's body from the hospital to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office.
The Sheriff's office calls it an unbelievable outpouring of kindness and asks that people keep Deputy Scheets' family in their thoughts and prayers.
