Tarrant County homeowners now have a new option when paying property taxes, they can now pay their property taxes in two equal installments.
In order to do so, they must pay half of their property tax bill by the end of this month, with the second half due by July 1st, 2024.
No penalties or interest will accrue until after that date.
If homeowners do not make that 50% payment by the end of this month, the entire bill will be due January 31st, 2024.
Property tax statements started going out in the middle of October; for homeowners who pay their property taxes through an escrow account, the bills were sent to the mortgage company.
