Texas Christian University will offer full tuition and housing support to low-income Texas students starting in fall 2026 through its new TCU for Texans program.

The initiative covers all tuition, housing and meals for incoming first-year students from Texas whose families earn $70,000 or less in adjusted gross income. Students must also qualify for Pell Grants and submit financial aid forms by Nov. 1, 2025.

“TCU for Texans opens our doors to the state’s best and brightest students who may have once considered a TCU education out of reach,” said Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin.

Aid is renewable annually based on financial need. TCU joins other Texas universities — including Rice, Texas A&M and Baylor — offering full aid packages to in-state, low-income students. As a private school, TCU charges the same tuition for all students: $63,500 plus $18,020 for room and board.
