The Texas Rangers now know their opponent in the American League Championship Series that begins Sunday.
The Rangers clinched their playoff berth Tuesday night, beating Baltimore to complete a three-game sweep in their American League Division Series. The other ALDS game was decided Wednesday night in Minneapolis where the Houston Astros beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2 to clinch the series.
That sets up a Rangers vs Astros meeting in the best-of-seven ALCS.
Game one will be Sunday in Houston. The Astros also host game two and then the series moves up I-45 to Arlington where the Rangers host games three and four and, if needed, game five before the series moves back to Houston for games six and seven, if needed.
Incidentally, this will be the first time in either league where the LCS will match up teams from the same state.
