Arts Fifth Avenue’s Free Tap Class

Have you always wanted to learn to tap. Saturday is your chance, as Gracey Tune and Dale Luna will teach free classes this Saturday. Experienced tappers can learn from Dale from 12-1, then Gracey will teach an intro class from 1-2. And don’t worry if you don’t have shoes, they’ll have plenty on hand for everyone.

Dallas Arboretum’s Dallas Blooms Event

Named by Southern Living as one of "The Best Places to See Stunning Spring Blooms Across the South," the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents Dallas Blooms, the largest annual floral festival in the Southwest. With the theme "America the Beautiful," the spring festival showcases an explosion of color from 100 varieties of spring bulbs and more than 500,000 spring-blooming blossoms, thousands of azaleas and hundreds of Japanese cherry trees. Each week, Dallas Blooms focuses on one of the six regions in the United States with food, music, flowers and activities. The festival includes special events, live music on the weekends and children's activities.

“For a Dreamer of Houses” at Dallas Museum of Art

"For a Dreamer of Houses'' brings together more than 50 works from the DMA's collection that range from immersive installations to intimate photographs, all related to the idea of home. The exhibition's sections correspond to five chapters in philosopher Gaston Bachelard's influential 1958 book "The Poetics of Space." Major recent acquisitions - including works by Alex Da Corte, Olivia Erlanger, EJ Hill, Francisco Moreno, Pipilotti Rist, and Do Ho Suh - are highlighted in each section. Because of COVID precautions, you must have a timed free ticket. There is a small extra charge for the collection.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and Fort Worth Botanic Garden invites visitors to see their newest exhibit “Topiaries in the Garden,” running through June 30, 2021. Featuring 12 plant-based animal shapes, such as elephants, giraffes, and butterflies, the displays are sure to stimulate a sense of wonderment and fascination.

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Display at the Galleria

Throughout the month of March, Galleria Dallas shoppers will enjoy a historic retrospective of Girl Scouting from 1912 to the present. The engaging visual timeline, on Level 1 outside of Apple, will highlight the history of Girl Scouts as well as landmarks in the organization's history. The exhibit celebrates the ways in which scouting has been proactive for women and girls across the decades. As a part of the exhibit, guests can use a QR code to donate boxes of Girl Scout cookies to healthcare heroes at Children's Health. Fridays and Saturdays in March, teams of Girl Scouts will be offering curbside purchase and delivery of cookies from the circular drive along Galleria Dallas' Alley adjacent to The Blue Fish and facing Dallas North Tollway. The organization hopes the combination of donated cookie sales and direct curbside sales will help them rcoup over 100,000 boxes of lost sales to changes forced by the pandemic.

The Monster Energy Supercross World Championships

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo

Grab your boots and Cowboy hat! This rodeo is back! The live and kicking rodeo is every Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. (Friday...it’s “Free Kid Friday”...buy an adult ticket and get a kid’s ticket free!) It's in the Cowtown Coliseum. Rodeo organizers say you can feel safe as you watch the live rodeo action because they are enforcing social distancing and everyone has to wear a facial covering. Giddy up!

Zip Line Day: Heard Natural Science Museum
