There is some food for thought from the TSA; you might think twice before bringing your signature Thanksgiving dish on the plane this holiday season.
The TSA has released some guidance on flying with foods, just in time for Thanksgiving travel.
TSA officials say most foods can be carried thru TSA checkpoints but there are some that must be checked inside your baggage.
The rule of thumb: they say if the item is a solid, then you can carry it on.
But if you can spill it, spread it, spray it, pump it or pour it, then it should go in a checked bag.
Some examples of carry ons: baked goods, meats & stuffing. Checked items include cranberry sauce, gravy and wine.
