Two shooting victims are in the hospital after being wounded in Fort Worth last night about a half-mile from one another and about three minutes apart.

Because of the proximity, detectives are looking for connections but so far there's nothing definite.

Just after 8 p.m. last night Fort Worth 911 operators got a call saying the caller's daughter had been shot in the face. Police were sent to a convenience store on Meadowbrook Drive just a few blocks from Loop 820.

The wounded woman was rushed to a local hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.

While police were still at that scene another call came in reporting another person had been shot at an address two blocks south of the convenience store.

That victim at that location was reported to be in serious but not life-threatening condition.

With the investigations in their early stages, police are not saying why the victims were shot nor who did it. Gang squad officers were seen at both locations.
