One of two victims killed in separate Grapevine crashes has now been identified as a man named Stevie Mowery who was killed Saturday.
Police say Mowery's SUV crashed on Dove Road near Kimball Avenue. Mowery had been ejected from the wreckage and was found in the middle of the street. He was rushed to the hospital but a few hours later he was pronounced dead.
Based on tire marks, investigators believe Mowery's SUV veered off the road, hit the curb and slammed into a tree. They don't yet know why Mowery lost control.
Also over the weekend, a Dallas woman died when her SUV crashed in Grapevine on Highway 121 near 635. Witnesses tell police she was going pretty fast. So far, her identity has not been released.
