The pilot is okay but it looked dicey there for a while in Forney where a small plane made an emergency landing right on Highway 80 at the height of the Monday rush hour.
Every pilot knows any landing is a good landing if you walk away from it and this pilot did just that after coming down hard on 80 near Pinson Road, striking a cable with one wing and spinning into a highway guardrail.
Witnesses say they heard it first and looked up to see the two-engine Cessna sliding along the median.
Miraculously, the plane missed all the traffic on 80. However, the highway was backed up for hours.
Investigators have not said why the pilot had to set down on the highway
