Victim's memorial outside Allen outlet mall to be taken down

The large memorial outside the Allen outlet mall honoring the victims of the mass shooting there May 6th will be taken down.

The memorial has grown since 8 people were killed in the attack and at least 7 others wounded.

The memorial consists of flowers, crosses, stuffed animals, hand written notes and other items. Those items will be turned over to family members.

The Allen Fire department will oversee the dismantling of the memorial which will start at 10 a.m. this morning.

The outlet mall remains closed. There is no word yet on when it will reopen.
