If you are stuck out in the high heat be careful on what you're eating and drinking.
Food experts recommend lighter diets in the summer months if you do not have the luxury of air conditioning.
Nutrition Expert Dr. Julie Gatza says we need to be eating foods that are easy to digest.
"We're not making as many digestive enzymes as we are supposed to be," Dr. Gatza said. "People aren't breaking down normal food as well as they need to so they are lacking nutrients."
She suggests foods like fish or chicken with cooked vegetables or even smoothies or broth.
She also says not to stay away from foods with sodium because we need to replace the salt we lose while sweating in the heat.
There is also confusion about how many electrolyte drinks we need to consume especially the sports drinks which have a lot of sugar.
"People are consuming a lot of those electrolytes, the Gatorades, and it's way too much for the body," she said. "When you put too much of that in, it starts to take the minerals out of your system."
