A group of pickleball players called the Pickle Breakers are aiming to break a world record this weekend in Carrollton by playing pickleball nonstop for 36 hours.
The group of four is looking to put themselves into the Guinness Book of World Records by surpassing the current mark of 34 hours and 5 minutes.
They will attempt to surpass the record this weekend at Pickler Universe on Interstate 35E in Carrollton.
It's all to benefit an organization called Taylor's Gift, which highlights the importance of organ donation.
The founder of Taylor's Gift, Todd Storch, joined the KRLD Afternoon News on Thursday to discuss why those pickleball maniacs are taking to the court this weekend.
The KRLD Afternoon News will be live from Pickler Universe on Friday to preview the Guinness World Record attempt.
The Pickle Breakers start their attempt at 6 a.m. on Saturday and invite guests to come to watch any time between then and Sunday evening when they break the record.
All proceeds go to Taylor's Gift.
