A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for all of North Texas. It goes into effect at 6:00 a.m. Monday at and lasts until 6:00 a.m. Wednesday.
DFW weather will be cloudy, breezy and cold during the day Monday with waves of light freezing rain/sleet. High: Mid to upper 20s. Wind: North 15-25 mph.
11:30 a.m. update: Mainly sleet will start falling across North Texas through late afternoon Monday. It will be bursts of moderate sleet that'll last 5 or 10 minutes and then another wave will move in. Roads will deteriorate as the afternoon wears on in areas that see more than others.
Some convective sleet storms have formed about 150 Mi to our southwest.. this is a pretty strong disturbance that'll cruise through this afternoon. More sleet will continue to break out to our southwest and head our direction through the day.
9:15 a.m. update: The current weather conditions have already prompted delays and cancellations at DFW Airport. Numbers will change, but right now FlightAware is showing 162 cancellations, and 49 delays in and out of DFW Airport.

Wednesday: Cloudy, breezy and cold. Morning freezing rain, changing over to a cold rain in the eastern half of north Texas. Stay tuned. Watching temperatures. High: 30-34.
Another wave of precipitation will move across the area on Thursday, but most areas should be slightly above freezing across north Texas. However, temperatures may stay slightly below freezing along and west of 35W through noon Thursday. Therefore, the Winter Storm Warning may be extended through the day on Wednesday into Thursday morning for parts of north Texas.
Travel is discouraged this morning through at least Wednesday afternoon and possibly longer than that. All precipitation should move out by Thursday afternoon and sunshine will return Friday through the weekend with a rapid warm up.
