Over a million people are now removed from Texas's voter rolls after being deemed ineligible.
Governor Abbott shared that news Monday, saying many of these are people who have moved, are deceased or are noncitizens. Abbott says noncitizens make up about 6,500 of those voters removed.
However, nearly 2k of those have voted before and Abbott says their voting records are being investigated.
Several bills signed by the governor affect Texas voting laws, including SB 1, which makes lying while registering to vote a state jail felony.
