Blue Bell Creameries, the long-time Brenham, Texas-based ice cream maker, is expanding its product lineup with Blue Bell Pro, a new high-protein frozen dairy dessert set to hit U.S. grocery freezer aisles this spring.

The line includes five classic flavors — vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and salted caramel — each pint providing about 33 to 35 grams of protein, making it one of the highest-protein frozen treats on the market.

Unlike traditional ice cream, Blue Bell Pro is marketed as a “frozen dairy dessert” and is formulated to be low in fat, gluten-free and free of added sugars, appealing to shoppers seeking higher protein options and lower-calorie indulgences.

Nutrition experts say protein remains a hot trend in food and beverage development, boosted by social media influences and broader consumer interest in high-protein diets.

Blue Bell has not announced exact availability dates or pricing, but the company confirmed the rollout is planned for spring 2026, and there’s already buzz from fans and food retailers about how the new lineup could reshape the freezer aisle.
