The Amber Alert for Helen Pierce has been discontinued, according to DPS officials. Pierce has been located and is safely in the custody of law enforcement.
An Amber Alert has been activated by police in the central Texas town of Burnet, an hour northwest of Austin, where an 11-year-old girl has been missing since Sunday night.
Police believe Helen May Marie Pierce ran away with a man seen driving a car described only as a gray four-door. There's no license plate information.
While not a kidnapping police say she left her home willingly. But because of her age and other circumstances they decided to activate the statewide Amber Alert.
