Yellowstone (among other shows) creator Taylor Sheridan is back at it searching for cast members for a new show based in Texas.
Set in West Texas, the show is called Land Man, and is about the oil boom in the Lone Star State, and Sheridan needs some real-life inspiration to film it.
A casting call went out for real-life roughnecks to appear in the series, which is based on the Texas Monthlypodcast “Boomtown.”
Per MySA.com, the show’s synopsis reads, “Land Man is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
Legacy Casting is currently looking for real-life oil and gas workers, to appear in the show, specifically those with experience working on a rig.
Those who have other oilfield experience can still apply to be cast in the show, when those applications open early next year.
