
Corpus Christi Police shot a woman after a standoff in the Flour Bluff neighborhood that lasted several hours.
Police received a report of a burglary in progress. When they arrived at the home, Police say the woman confronted them with a rifle and they fired one or more shots wounding the suspect. The officers retreated from the home and a two-hour standoff ensued.
Finally, SWAT officers entered the home and arrested the woman. She received medical attention and was said to be alert and communicating before she was hospitalized.
The Corpus Christi officers involved will be on paid administrative leave.
