The driver of a red trick seen buffeted by the Elgin tornado in a viral video turns out to be a 16-year-old named Riley Leon who attends high school in Austin.
His advice for drivers in future tornadoes: "Stay home. Don't risk your life."
In the widely viewed storm chaser video, Leon's red Chevy truck is seen just as it's hit by the tornado in Elgin on Monday. The truck is rolled on its side and the winds almost immediately roll it back in its tires - and then it simply drives off like nothing happened.
In interviews, Leon says it might look like he took it in stride but he was actually extremely frightened. He says God "probably left me here because I have something special coming my way."
Reports say Leon was on his was home from a job interivew at a local Whataburger when the storm hit.
