Authorities in East and Central Texas are investigating weekend shootings one of those involved a police officer.
For the second time in a week, a Texas Police Officer has been shot in the line of duty. An officer in the community of Riesel, near Waco, was shot during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon. He's expected to fully recover, and the shooter was taken into custody.
Meanwhile, in East Texas, a shooting in a Marshall left six people wounded, one of whom is in a critical condition. Marshall Police say 200 people were attending an event when gunfire broke out. It's unclear why the shooting started.
