High Wind Warnings and Red Flag Warnings are posted for most of West Texas, the Panhandle and South Plains today.
Gusts of up to 65 miles an hour are expected with steady winds of 35 to 45 mph in the Panhandle and 35 to 40 mph in and around El Paso.
These powerful winds are kicking up dust, especially in the panhandle making it tough, if not impossible, for drivers to see on some roads.
On Tuesday, the brown-out conditions caused by the winds led to numerous multi-vehicle crashes in near zero visibility conditions.
