Nearly three years after the deadly shooting at Robb Elementary School, full funding is now in place to complete construction of its replacement, Legacy Elementary.

The project received a major boost this week with $21 million in new funding through a federal program designed to spur investment in underserved communities. Construction resumed in August 2024 following a $10 million donation from a foundation established by the late Texas Gov. Dolph Briscoe Jr.

Legacy Elementary is expected to be completed by fall 2025.
