A little girl seriously wounded during the Uvalde school massacre was honored recently by the Houston Astros.

10-year-old Maya Zamora was released from the hospital only a month ago. She was there for 66 days after being shot in the chest, back, hands and arms during the Uvalde school shooting where nineteen students and two teachers were fatally shot.

Maya threw out the first pitch at the Houston Astros game on Wednesday night.

Former Astro and current Minnesota Twin Carlos Correa's foundation is giving Maya and her family a new house.

Before the game Maya and her family were treated to lunch and given personalized jerseys. Jim Mcingvale, AKA Matress Mack will supply all of the furniture for their new house.
