A Grapevine man is dead after drowing during a weekend outing with family and friends.
Officials say 53-year-old Shawn Hagist and his famiy were spending the day at Lake Texoma Saturday when his wife's sunglasses fell off her head and into the water.
Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say that's when he dove it to grab them and never resurfaced.
They say rescue teams had to use sonar to find his body which was not located for several hours.
Officials say Hagist was found in about 17 feet of water.
