Incoming border czar Tom Homan will meet with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Tuesday, signaling President-elect Donald Trump's emphasis on the border.

Homan and Abbott with tour a stretch of the Texas-Mexico border in Starr County where new fencing is under construction. Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said the project is a critical part of the state’s border strategy. The state has offered ranch land in the area as a potential site for mass deportation facilities.

Homan’s visit reflects the incoming administration’s intent to collaborate with Texas on immigration and border issues. Officials say the partnership underscores a shared commitment to bolstering border security.
