The Texas Education Agency has been given the green light to release its "A-through-F" school accountability ratings after a legal battle that delayed their publication.
More than 120 school districts across the state had sued to block the ratings, arguing that the metrics were unfairly changed. However, those lawsuits have now been resolved.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick praised the ruling, saying it empowers parents to stay informed about their children's education.
It remains unclear whether the districts will appeal this week's decision.
