As many people are aware, Texas Governor Greg Abbott tested positive for COVID-19 last week. He's been self-isolating and says his symptoms are very mild because he was vaccinated. He recently took another test that came out negative.
The state leader posted a video with his updated status. He included that the vaccine is what kept his case from being severe. He also encouraged everyone to get the vaccine.
Fellow Texan, and possible gubernatorial candidate, actor Matthew McConaughey publicly thanked Gov. Abbott for spreading the word about the positive effects of getting the shot.
