A missing Humble woman has been found dead in the trunk of a car, a car police say was driven by her teenage son.
Officials say Michelle Roenz and her 17-year-old son Tyler were reported missing last Thursday. The Harris County Sheriff's Office put out a description of Roenz's car and over the weekend.
State troopers in Nebraska spotted the car and tried to pull it over. But the driver hit the gas and the troopers chased it for about nine miles before it crashed into the back of a big-rig near Aurora, Nebraska.
Police found Tyler Roenz was driving and he was hurt badly enough to be sent to the hospital. In the trunk, they found the body of Michelle Roenz. Investigators have not determined how she died.
