Family and friends gathered Saturday in memory of an eight-year-old Dallas boy who was killed by an accused drunk driver last week.
Officials say Kaden Rainwater was riding his scooter in the family's apartment complex parking lot a week ago. He was hit and run over by a man later identified Miguel Martinez, who is now locked up on a murder charge and a DWI.
On Saturday, a group of family and friends met at Kaden's school, Conner Elementary. Some of the speakers were Kaden's friends. His principal, Kiashan King, said Kaden "loved his teachers, he loved music, art and of course P.E."
His friends held a banner reading "We love you Kaden. You will be missed."
