Texas officials are issuing a warning to Spring Breakers headed to the beach.
Some Texas beaches are dealing with an increase in powerful stingers, known as the Portuguese Man o' War, also known in Texas as 'Bluebottles.' They're like jellyfish but so much worse.
The Visit Port Aransas tourism group warned about the creatures on social media this week, saying it's pretty common for them to wash ashore this time of year.
The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department says if you get stung, it's important not to rub the area. They say to use a credit card to scrape off the tentacles and the put the affected area under hot water or apply a warm compresses.
You can also apply non-prescription hydrocortisone cream or take an antihistamine to help relieve the itching rash.
