A driver has survived a harrowing crash in Sansom Park where police found the horribly mangled wreckage of a car on Roberts Cut-Off near Marion Sansom Park Monday evening.
The car had crashed into a metal fence, literally splitting the car in half. The back of the car broke away from the front half, leaving the driver behind the wheel. But surprisingly in view of the heavy damage to the car the driver was not seriously hurt.
After paramedics carried out their evaluation, the driver was taken to the hospital by a relative for further evaluation.
Police did not find any signs of intoxication and investigators say speed alone if believed to be the cause of the crash.
