Several Texas state representatives chosen to move on for final election in November

Texas voters cast ballots in Tuesday's Primary runoffs for several state represntative positions.

Dallas County Democrats chose real estate agent Venton C. Jones as their nominee for State Rep in District 100. That's the district that Jasmine Crockett represented for one term before running for Congress. Jones defeated former Dallas City Council Member Sandra Crenshaw.

Tarrant County Republicans decided to stay with State Rep Stephanie Klick in District 91.

In Denton County, Ben Bumgarner won the battle for the Republican Party's nominee for State Rep in District 63. He's a former Flower Mound City Council Member. He defeated Jeff Younger, who had campaigned against gender-affirming medical care for transgender children.
