Damage has been reported across Texas after severe weather pushed through the state Thursday afternoon and evening. At one point the line of storms stretched from the Red River to San Antonio and stayed together for the most part as it trekked east.

Winds were the big issue, and some of them were strong enough to push some of those big pines in East Texas over.

A couple of tornadoes were reported and crews with the National Weather Service will be out across the state today surveying the damage. Preliminary reports say a twister was observed in Pickton in Hopkins County in northeast Texas. One county over in Franklin County tornadoes were reported near Mount Vernon and Talco. In Marion County a possible tornado snapped power lines and damaged a mobile home in Jefferson.

Elsewhere, wind-damage has been reported in at least 42 counties across the Big Country and Concho Valley, Hill Country, North, Central, South and East Texas.

In North Texas: Dallas, Denton, Collin, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker Red River and Tarrant counties

Hill Country, Central and South Texas - Bexar, Burleson, Burnet, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Kimble, Leon, Medina, Menard, Milam, Travis and Williamson counties.

Big Country/Concho Valley - Brown, Coleman, Taylor, Callahan, Shackelford, Stephens, Tom Green counties.

East - Cass, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Nacogdoches, Rusk, Shelby, Smith, Uphshur, and Wood counties.
