Two teachers from Spring, Texas have been placed on leave after allegations of giving students sleep-inducing stickers.

The investigation started late Wednesday evening when Northgate Crossing Elementary, a school in Spring, Texas, north of Houston, announced that two of their preschool teachers had been placed on leave after they were accused of giving students special stickers believed to help with sleep.

The issue came to light when a 4-year-old student brought a medical patch home, telling her mother it made her fall asleep. The mother, concerned, researched and discovered that the stickers were indeed sleep aid patches containing melatonin; It's marketed towards adults.

To be exact, they were Klova Z Patches. They contain three milligrams of Melatonin. Experts do no recommend any dose of melatonin before the age of five.

Other parents say their kids would come home starving from not eating all day at school but rather sleeping.

The Spring Police Department will be investigating the allegations.
